Catholics
The first Christian community in Ceuta dates back to the 6th century, as shown by the archaeological remains of the early Christian basilica.
Muslims
Islam is the religion followed by almost half of Ceuta's population. Numerous mosques raise their minarets in the city.
Jews
The presence of the Hebrew community in Ceuta can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Most of them are Sephardic Jews.
Hindus
It’s the last religion to be established in Ceuta. They arrived at the end of the 19th century, and since then they have been a very active community.
